1st Transnational Meeting in Kalamata

Between November 29^th and December 2^nd 2017, the initial meeting of the “Through our own eyes (TOOE)” project took place at Areadne Lifelong Learning Centre in Kalamata, Greece.

The aim of TOOE is to create an online repository of Greek, Italian, Turkish and French art that deals with the emigration experience of these countries. This repository will be used to transform problematic student attitudes towards the refugee condition. To accompany the repository, a practical handbook on using art as a transformative learning tool and a course for trainers will be developed.

The meeting was attended by all project partners (Areadne LLC, ITE Paolo Savi, Hatay Antakya Nedime Keser Halk Egitim Merkezi, Connexion Roumanie), who had the opportunity to get  to know each other, present their organizations, learn more about the city of Kalamata and, of course, to finalize the project’s work-plan.

TOOE is co-financed by Erasmus+ Key Action 2. It begun on October 1^st, 2017 and is expected to end on September 30^th, 2019.
